Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
- Melt butter in a bowl; mix in granulated and brown sugars until combined.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in red food coloring and vanilla.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually fold dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Pour batter into prepared pan, spreading evenly, and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
