  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix in granulated sugar until combined. Stir in cocoa powder.
  3. Whisk in eggs one at a time, adding red food coloring until you achieve the desired hue.
  4. Gently fold in flour until just combined.
  5. In another bowl, beat softened cream cheese with brown sugar and vanilla extract until smooth. Blend in sour cream until creamy.
  6. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, then spread the cheesecake mixture evenly on top. Dollop remaining brownie batter over cheesecake and swirl with a knife.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until edges pull away from the pan; a toothpick should come out with moist crumbs.
  8. Allow to cool completely before slicing into squares.
