Instructions

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until fluffy.
  3. In another bowl, mix eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla until combined. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir gently.
  4. Slowly add boiling water while stirring until smooth. Pour batter evenly into prepared pans.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
  6. For frosting, beat softened butter with cocoa powder; gradually add powdered sugar and milk until creamy. Frost cooled cakes as desired.
