  • 1 cup finely chopped Granny Smith or Honeycrisp apples
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and cinnamon.
  3. Combine Wet Ingredients: Beat egg and mix with milk. Gradually add to dry ingredients until just combined.
  4. Fold in Apples: Gently fold chopped apples into the batter.
  5. Heat Oil & Fry: Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot to 350°F (175°C). Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown on both sides.
  6. Dust & Serve: Remove fritters from oil, drain on paper towels, and dust with powdered sugar while warm.
