- 1/2 cup au jus sauce

Instructions
- Gather all ingredients on a clean surface.
- If using onions, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onions until caramelized, about 10 minutes.
- In another pan, warm roast beef over low heat for 3-5 minutes.
- Top warm beef with cheese and let it melt slightly.
- Assemble sandwiches by layering roast beef and cheese into hoagie rolls; add sautéed onions if desired.
- Serve with au jus sauce in small bowls for dipping.
