- 1 round wheel of brie cheese (approximately 8 oz)
- 1 sheet of thawed puff pastry (about 14 oz)
- 2 tablespoons jam (fig or your choice) or honey
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Optional: 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface until about 1/8 inch thick.
- Spread jam or drizzle honey over the center of the pastry.
- Place the brie cheese on top of the jam layer. Fold the pastry over the cheese, pinching seams to seal.
- Beat the egg and brush it over the wrapped pastry.
- Transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
