- 12 oz ziti pasta
- 1 lb lean ground beef (80/20)
- 24 oz marinara sauce
- 15 oz whole milk ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded low-moisture mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated fresh Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the ziti pasta in salted boiling water until al dente (about 8-10 minutes). Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat, seasoning with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning until fully cooked.
- Stir in the marinara sauce with the beef and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix ricotta cheese with garlic powder and half of the grated Parmesan.
- In a baking dish, layer half of the pasta, half of the meat sauce, and half of the ricotta mixture. Repeat layers.
- Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
- Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
