  • 1 lb lean ground beef (80/20)
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 15 oz whole milk ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded low-moisture mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated fresh Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ziti pasta in salted boiling water until al dente (about 8-10 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat, seasoning with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning until fully cooked.
  4. Stir in the marinara sauce with the beef and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix ricotta cheese with garlic powder and half of the grated Parmesan.
  6. In a baking dish, layer half of the pasta, half of the meat sauce, and half of the ricotta mixture. Repeat layers.
  7. Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
  8. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
