- 3 ripe bananas (mashed)

- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 large egg (room temperature)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract

- 1/2 cup nuts or chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
- In another bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined; avoid over-mixing.
- If desired, fold in nuts or chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
