- 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (smoky variety recommended)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup sliced red onion
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). Roll out pizza dough on a floured surface to about 12 inches wide and place on a baking sheet or pizza stone.
- In a bowl, mix shredded chicken with BBQ sauce until evenly coated.
- Spread a layer of BBQ sauce over the dough. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese on top.
- Distribute the BBQ-coated chicken evenly over the cheese. Add sliced red onion if desired.
- Top with remaining cheese and sprinkle cilantro before baking for 12-15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Cool briefly, slice, and serve hot.
