- 3 sesame seed buns
- 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
- 6 dill pickle slices
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 1 tbsp sweet pickle relish
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 3 slices American cheese
Instructions
- Prepare the Special Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, relish, and garlic powder until smooth.
- Form Patties: Shape ground beef into three equal patties (about ¼ inch thick) and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Cook Patties: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook each patty for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through; add cheese during the last minute to melt.
- Assemble Burgers: Spread special sauce on each bottom bun half. Layer with shredded lettuce, a cooked patty with melted cheese, onions, and pickles before topping with the other bun half.
- Serve immediately while hot.
