Instructions
- In a bowl, mix warm milk with active dry yeast. Let it sit until frothy (about 5 minutes).
- In another bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Add cold butter and mix until crumbly.
- Stir in the yeast mixture and whisked egg until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth (about 5-7 minutes).
- Place in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until doubled.
- Roll out the dough into rectangles and add desired fillings; shape as preferred.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
