- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
 - 12 oz Cajun smoked sausage, sliced
 - 1 cup heavy cream
 - 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
 - 2 tsp Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
 - 1 cup bell peppers and onions, chopped (optional)
 
Instructions
- Cook the fettuccine in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
 - In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté the sliced Cajun smoked sausage until browned.
 - Add minced garlic and optional vegetables; sauté for about 3 minutes until fragrant.
 - Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in grated Parmesan until melted.
 - Combine cooked pasta with the sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed for desired consistency.
 - Adjust seasoning with additional Cajun seasoning if preferred. Serve hot.
