- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup melted unsalted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and granulated sugar until combined. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Sift in cocoa powder and flour; stir gently until just combined.
- In another bowl, beat softened cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth.
- Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Add dollops of the cheesecake mixture on top and swirl with a knife.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes. Check doneness with a toothpick—it should come out slightly moist but not wet.
- Allow to cool completely before slicing into squares.
