- 2 lbs Russet potatoes, peeled and sliced into 1/4-inch rounds
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup sour cream (full-fat)
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a large baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
- Layer half the potato slices at the bottom of the dish. In a bowl, mix together cheddar cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and half of the melted butter.
- Spread half of the cheese mixture over the potatoes; repeat layers with remaining potatoes and cheese mixture.
- Drizzle remaining melted butter on top. Cover tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
