  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups Italian breadcrumbs
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 10 fresh basil leaves (for garnish)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and pat chicken breasts dry.
  2. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with whisked eggs, and the third with breadcrumbs.
  3. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip in egg, then coat in breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat; sear each chicken breast for about 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Transfer chicken to a baking dish. Top with marinara sauce, mozzarella, and parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown. Ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
