Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, combine melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar; beat until smooth.
- Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture using a spatula until just combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips and nuts if desired.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown on top; let cool before slicing.
