- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract

- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts) (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream together softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time along with vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips and nuts if desired.
- Scoop tablespoons of dough onto lined baking sheets, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden around the edges but soft in the center.
- Allow cooling slightly before transferring to a wire rack.
