Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract until smooth.
- In another bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined; avoid overmixing.
- Fold in chocolate chips evenly.
- Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain soft.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
