Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, beat softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.
- Scoop rounded balls onto lined baking sheets, spacing them about two inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are firm but centers are soft. Allow to cool slightly before transferring to wire racks.
