  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil (or melted butter)
  • 1 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a muffin tin with liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat eggs and mix in milk and vegetable oil until smooth.
  4. Gradually combine wet ingredients into dry ingredients; stir until just combined—don't overmix!
  5. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Spoon the batter into each muffin cup about three-quarters full and bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
