- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- ½ cup vegetable oil (or melted butter)
- 1 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a muffin tin with liners.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat eggs and mix in milk and vegetable oil until smooth.
- Gradually combine wet ingredients into dry ingredients; stir until just combined—don't overmix!
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Spoon the batter into each muffin cup about three-quarters full and bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
