- 1 lb fresh strawberries, thoroughly washed and dried
- 1 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
- 1 tsp coconut oil
- Optional: 1/4 cup colorful sprinkles or crushed nuts
Instructions
- Melt the chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and coconut oil. Heat in 30-second intervals until smooth and glossy, stirring in between.
- Prepare the strawberries: Rinse strawberries under cold water and dry them completely with paper towels for better chocolate adherence.
- Dip the strawberries: Hold each strawberry by its green stem and dip into melted chocolate until coated as desired. Shake off excess chocolate.
- Add toppings (optional): While the chocolate is still soft, sprinkle or roll dipped berries in your choice of toppings.
- Let them set: Place dipped strawberries on parchment paper on a baking sheet and refrigerate for about 30 minutes until the chocolate hardens.
