Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup melted unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup melted butter for topping
  • 1/2 cup sugar for topping
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat eggs; add milk, melted butter, and vanilla. Mix well.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients gently until just mixed; batter should be thick but pourable.
  5. Pour into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden and toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool for about 10 minutes; brush with melted butter and roll in cinnamon-sugar topping before slicing.
