Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix melted butter, buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Gradually add wet ingredients to dry ingredients; mix until just combined.
  5. Combine sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl for the filling.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the prepared dish; sprinkle with half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  7. Add remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mix.
  8. Use a knife or toothpick to swirl through the batter gently.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Allow cake to cool slightly before drizzling with glaze made from powdered sugar and milk.
