- 1 cup whole milk (or almond milk)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let sit until frothy (about 5 minutes).
- Add sugar, softened butter, and eggs; mix until combined.
- Gradually add flour and salt; knead until smooth and elastic (about 10 minutes).
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp towel, and let rise in a warm area until doubled in size (1-1.5 hours).
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread softened butter, and sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over it.
- Roll tightly from one long edge into a log shape; pinch seams closed and place seam-side down in a greased loaf pan.
- Cover loaf and let puff up for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
