  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 cup whole milk (or almond milk)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let sit until frothy (about 5 minutes).
  2. Add sugar, softened butter, and eggs; mix until combined.
  3. Gradually add flour and salt; knead until smooth and elastic (about 10 minutes).
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp towel, and let rise in a warm area until doubled in size (1-1.5 hours).
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread softened butter, and sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over it.
  6. Roll tightly from one long edge into a log shape; pinch seams closed and place seam-side down in a greased loaf pan.
  7. Cover loaf and let puff up for another 30 minutes.
  8. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
