- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 2 ¼ tsp instant yeast (1 packet)
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup whole milk (or dairy alternative)
- 2 tbsp sugar
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine warm milk and sugar; stir until dissolved. Sprinkle instant yeast on top and let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Gradually add to the yeast mixture, stirring until a shaggy dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Fold in softened butter and condensed milk gently to maintain airiness.
- Place in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm area until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
- Punch down the dough gently; shape into a loaf and place in a greased loaf pan.
- Cover again and let rise for another 30 minutes while preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown on top.
