- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder (unsweetened)
- 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
- Add in the egg and stir in vanilla extract until well combined.
- Sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt; gradually mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in crushed Oreos and chocolate chips gently.
- Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them about two inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set and centers are soft. Allow cooling on the sheet for five minutes before transferring to wire racks.
