- 1 lb fresh lump crab meat
- 1 cup plain breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley or dill
- 2 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- 2 tsp Old Bay seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare your workspace by clearing your counter and gathering all ingredients.
- In a large bowl, gently combine crab meat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, mustard, herbs, lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper. Be careful not to break up the crab too much.
- Shape the mixture into patties about 1 inch thick.
- Chill the patties on a lined baking sheet for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear patties for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels and serve warm with tartar sauce or lemon wedges.
