- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5–2 lbs)
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2–3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp light brown sugar
Instructions
- Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Place seasoned chicken in a crockpot and pour barbecue sauce over it.
- Add diced onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar; stir gently.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Shred chicken in the pot and mix with sauce before serving.
