- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup water
- Food coloring (gel preferred)
- 1 tsp flavor extracts (vanilla, peppermint, etc.)
- Parchment paper
Instructions
- Prepare your workspace by clearing the countertop and gathering all ingredients.
- In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water over medium heat. Stir until dissolved and bring to a rolling boil.
- Remove from heat and quickly add food coloring and flavor extracts. Mix well until evenly distributed.
- Pour the hot mixture onto parchment paper or into molds before it begins to set. Use a spatula if necessary.
- Allow the candy to cool completely at room temperature for 1-2 hours until hardened.
- Break or cut into bite-sized pieces and store in an airtight container.
