Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined. Gradually fold in flour, baking soda, and salt until just incorporated.
- Stir in dark chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.
- Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden brown but centers remain soft. Let cool slightly before transferring to wire racks.
