  • 2 tablespoons fresh herbs (rosemary or thyme), chopped

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by mixing warm water and yeast in a bowl. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Gradually add the yeast mixture and olive oil, stirring until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Punch down the risen dough gently, then transfer to an oiled baking sheet and shape it into your desired form.
  6. Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle fresh herbs and sea salt on top, cover again, and let rise for another 30 minutes while preheating your oven to 425°F (220°C).
