  • 1 medium focaccia bread (about 10 oz)
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 2 large heirloom tomatoes, thickly sliced
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tbsp balsamic glaze
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice focaccia bread horizontally to create a top and bottom half.
  3. Drizzle olive oil on the bottom half; layer with mozzarella slices.
  4. Add tomato slices and top with fresh basil leaves.
  5. Drizzle balsamic glaze over the layers.
  6. Place the top half of the focaccia on the sandwich and gently press down.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted and edges are crispy.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before slicing into pieces.
