Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water. Add spaghetti or linguine and cook until al dente according to package instructions.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for about one minute until fragrant.
  3. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the remaining water from the pasta. Toss hot pasta into the skillet with the garlic butter.
  4. Gradually mix in Parmesan cheese and reserved pasta water until creamy. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Top with chopped parsley before serving.
