  • 3/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Mix in molasses and egg until combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Chill the dough for at least one hour.
  7. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick and cut into desired shapes.
  8. Place cookies on lined baking sheets about 1 inch apart and bake for 8-10 minutes.
