Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) active dry yeast
- ¾ cup warm water (about 110°F)
- 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
- 1 tsp sea salt
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- 1. Activate the yeast: In a bowl, mix warm water with active dry yeast. Let sit until bubbly (about 5 minutes).
- 2. Prepare the dough: In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Gradually stir in the yeast mixture and olive oil until a dough forms.
- 3. Knead the dough: On a floured surface, knead for about 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- 4. Add flavors: Incorporate minced garlic and chopped rosemary during kneading for an aromatic touch.
- 5. Let it rise: Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm area until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
- 6. Bake: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a muffin tin. Punch down the risen dough, divide it into equal portions, and place them into muffin cups. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
