- 4 slices sourdough bread
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- Optional add-ins: avocado slices, tomatoes, or cooked bacon
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients on your counter.
- Spread 1 tablespoon of butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place one slice of bread butter-side down in a skillet over medium heat.
- Layer the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses on top, then cover with another slice of bread (butter-side up).
- Cook for 3-4 minutes until golden brown; flip carefully and cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes until melted and crispy.
- Remove from heat, let cool slightly, slice in half, and serve.
