- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
- Trim excess fat from the chicken breasts and pat dry with paper towels.
- In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, rice vinegar, and sesame oil until smooth.
- Marinate the chicken in a resealable bag or shallow dish for at least 30 minutes (up to overnight).
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add oil. Sear marinated chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Pour remaining marinade into the pan and let it bubble until slightly thickened (2-3 minutes).
- Transfer to a platter and garnish with green onions before serving.
