Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Add buttermilk and melted butter; stir until just combined.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently for about 30 seconds.
- Shape the dough into a round loaf about 1-inch thick, place on the baking sheet, and cut a deep cross on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and hollow-sounding when tapped.
