- 12 lasagna noodles
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 15 oz ricotta cheese
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 3 cups marinara sauce
- ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
- ¼ cup fresh basil, chopped
- 2 large eggs
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and cook lasagna noodles until al dente.
- In a skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat; drain excess fat and stir in marinara sauce.
- Mix ricotta cheese, eggs, half of the parmesan cheese, and basil until creamy.
- In a baking dish, layer meat sauce, noodles, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella. Repeat layers finishing with noodles topped with remaining mozzarella and parmesan.
- Cover with foil; bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Let cool slightly before slicing.
