  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ¼ cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and cook lasagna noodles until al dente.
  2. In a skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat; drain excess fat and stir in marinara sauce.
  3. Mix ricotta cheese, eggs, half of the parmesan cheese, and basil until creamy.
  4. In a baking dish, layer meat sauce, noodles, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella. Repeat layers finishing with noodles topped with remaining mozzarella and parmesan.
  5. Cover with foil; bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
