  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until golden brown (about 1 minute).
  3. Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 75°C). Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, add chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet for added flavor.
  5. Stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter until melted. Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over each piece; let simmer for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
