Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until golden brown (about 1 minute).
- Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 75°C). Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same pan, add chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet for added flavor.
- Stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter until melted. Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over each piece; let simmer for an additional 3-4 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
