Ingredients

  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water. Add spaghetti and cook until al dente, according to package instructions.
  2. While pasta cooks, melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Drain pasta, reserving some cooking water, and add it to the skillet with the garlic butter. Toss to coat.
  4. Stir in fresh lemon juice and grated Parmesan cheese. If needed, add reserved pasta water one tablespoon at a time until creamy.
  5. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
