  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: Serves 4

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sirloin steak, sliced against the grain
  • 1 large red onion, cut into thick wedges
  • 2 medium tomatoes, cut into wedges
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 cup crispy French fries (optional)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Prep your ingredients by slicing the sirloin steak into thin strips and chopping the red onion and tomatoes.
  2. In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add beef strips in batches, searing until browned on all sides (about 3-4 minutes). Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté onion wedges for about 2-3 minutes until softened. Add tomato wedges and stir gently until they release their juices.
  4. Return beef to skillet along with any juices. Stir in soy sauce and red wine vinegar; cook for another 2 minutes until heated through.
  5. Remove from heat, stir in chopped cilantro before serving. Serve with crispy fries on the side or mixed in.
