- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
 - 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or Italian)
 - 2 large eggs
 - 1 medium onion, finely chopped
 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
 - 1/2 cup ketchup (plus more for glaze)
 - 2 tbsp brown sugar (for glaze)
 - 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
 - – Optional: 1 tbsp mustard (yellow or Dijon)
 
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking dish or loaf pan.
 - In a skillet, sauté chopped onion in olive oil until translucent, then add minced garlic for one minute.
 - In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, sautéed onion and garlic, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper until well combined.
 - For the glaze, whisk together additional ketchup, brown sugar (or honey), and apple cider vinegar in a separate bowl.
 - Shape the meat mixture into a loaf in the baking dish and pour half of the glaze over it before baking.
 - Bake for about 1 hour, brushing on more glaze halfway through for a shiny finish. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
