Instructions
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat until bubbly but not browned.
- Whisk in the flour for about 1 minute until lightly golden to create a roux.
- Gradually add the whole milk while whisking continuously until the mixture thickens (3-5 minutes).
- Lower the heat and slowly stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
- Season with paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper to taste. Mix well.
- Serve immediately with tortilla chips or drizzle over nachos.
