Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb)
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar (dark preferred)
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- Oil for cooking
Instructions
- 1. Prep the Chicken: Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and pat dry with paper towels.
- 2. Create the Marinade: In a bowl, combine soy sauce, orange juice, garlic, ginger, and brown sugar. Add the chicken pieces and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- 3. Cook the Chicken: Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add marinated chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through (about 5-7 minutes).
- 4. Make the Sauce: Pour any remaining marinade into the skillet with red pepper flakes. Cook until sauce thickens slightly (3-5 minutes).
- 5. Finish Up: Stir in sliced green onions just before serving.
