Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1/2 cup creamy or crunchy peanut butter
- 1/4 cup brown sugar (light)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 20 chocolate kisses (regular or dark)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and peanut butter until smooth.
- Gradually mix in the flour, baking soda, and salt until just combined; avoid overmixing to keep cookies tender.
- Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, form dough balls about 1 inch in size and place them on prepared baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden but centers remain soft.
- Immediately press a chocolate kiss into each cookie center after removing them from the oven. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
