Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add peanut butter and mix well; then incorporate the egg until fully combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix this into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto prepared sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden but centers appear slightly underbaked.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring them to wire racks.
