- 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced thinly against the grain
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 yellow bell pepper, chopped
- 1 medium sweet onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tsp black pepper, freshly cracked
- 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
- 2 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil for sautéing
- Optional: hot sauce to taste
Instructions
- Slice the beef sirloin into thin strips and chop the bell peppers and onion.
- In a bowl, combine beef with soy sauce and black pepper; marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onions and bell peppers; sauté until softened.
- Add marinated beef to the skillet and cook until browned on all sides, approximately 5 minutes.
- Stir in minced garlic and beef broth; bring to a gentle simmer.
- Mix cornstarch with water and pour into the skillet while stirring constantly until sauce thickens (about 2 minutes).
