Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a 9-inch round cake pan, melt butter over low heat. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly on top, then arrange pineapple slices and cherries decoratively.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, granulated sugar, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth—avoid overmixing.
- Pour the batter over the pineapple arrangement in the pan and spread gently.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool slightly before flipping onto a serving plate.
