Ingredients
- 3–4 lbs chuck roast
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 4–5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
- 4 soft brioche or ciabatta buns
Instructions
- Gather and prepare all ingredients, chopping onion and garlic finely.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chuck roast for 4-5 minutes per side until browned.
- Transfer the beef to a slow cooker. In the same skillet, sauté onions and garlic for about 3 minutes until translucent.
- Mix beef broth and BBQ sauce in a bowl, then pour over the roast in the slow cooker, ensuring it's well-coated.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours until the beef is fork-tender.
- Shred the beef with two forks and mix with the sauce before serving on buns.
